.NET Technology

DIRAQ Document Management was developed using Microsoft® .NET technology. This is Microsoft's strategic platform for providing services in order to integrate devices, systems and people using software solutions.

This platform enables organisations to integrate their systems much quicker and in a much more flexible way.

Web Services

DIRAQ uses Web Services in order to communicate between devices and this allows, for example, for documents to be scanned in the UK and stored in a database located in Japan. All this with one click of a mouse! Electronic documents can also be transparently loaded into a central document management database from any PC with Internet access from anywhere in the world.

Browser Based

Because DIRAQ Document Management is Browser based this means that no 'client server' software need be installed on the desktop PC. It also means that data can be shared across offices and locations based anywhere in the world where access to the Internet is available.

SQL Server

DIRAQ Document Management stores all its documents in a SQL Server database*. Using a database means that valuable documents can be secured from misuse and illegal tampering. It also means that in the event of a disaster the data stored within the database can be retrieved and restored much quicker (providing of course that standard procedures are in force to backup the data and store offsite).

*There is an option where documents can be stored as disk files instead but this is not our recommended approach.
