Scalable quantum current source on commercial 22-nm CMOS process technology
Evidence that a standard commercial 22-nm CMOS chip can generate a precisely quantized electrical current leads to a proposal for a novel chip design. A million of these current sources working in parallel could offer a practical way of realizing electrical current standards on a tabletop, using ordinary semiconductor manufacturing.
A 2 × 2 Quantum Dot Array in Silicon with Fully Tunable Pairwise Interdot Coupling
A 2 × 2 grid of silicon quantum dots with independently tunable connections between every neighboring pair provides a key step beyond single-row qubit arrays. Moving to this 2D layout is essential for building quantum processors capable of error correction, and the device's precise, wide-ranging control over qubit coupling provides an early benchmark for scaling silicon qubits into larger, grid-based architectures.
