Precision high-speed quantum logic with holes on a natural silicon foundry platform
Diraq’s UNSW Sydney collaborators report hole spin qubits in silicon, hitting 99.8% single-qubit fidelity and strong two-qubit performance — the best results yet for this qubit type. The work shows that these qubits can be made using the same standard chip-manufacturing process as Diraq's electron spin qubits.
Eight-Qubit Operation of a 300 mm SiMOS Foundry-Fabricated Device
In collaboration with imec, Diraq demonstrates eight silicon qubits tuned and operated together on a single foundry-made chip, moving beyond the one- or two-qubit devices typical of this platform. The qubits retained strong coherence, and the team showed reliable multi-qubit readout and gate operation, all steps toward scaling silicon quantum processors to much larger arrays.
Bell inequality violation in gate-defined quantum dots
The demonstration that Bell's inequality is violated in a system of silicon spin qubits offers a rigorous proof of quantum entanglement, which is undamental to achieving quantum advantage. With two-qubit gate fidelities above 99% fidelity, entanglement is confirmed even at a relatively warm 1.1 K.
